Now that the students have had some practice on differentiation, we can move onto the fun stuff… harder differentiation!!! There is no roof to how hard these questions can go, so there will plenty of tricks thrown at students. JC Maths 2

Books tend to be easy. When you study one chapter, and test yourself of that chapter, you tend to do okay, even with very little work. Last week was Geometry and showing students how links are made within sections of the course. By starting Co-Ordinate Geometry this week, we can show the students the links between different chapters, and get them ready for any curveballs the Junior Cert may throw their way!

LC Maths 3

Now that the students hopefully have a good understanding of the connections between graphs and their differentials, we can move onto the rules for differentiating. Like golf shots, or driving a car, the key is repetition. Many examples will be done, but even more questions will be given for students to work through during the week.

The Junior Cert can be a very daunting experience for students, especially in the sciences. The main approach? Confidence. This comes from building on the basics, through to the harder topics. In this session, we plan to approach Geometry for the Junior Cert. Simple rules like “all angles in a triangle add to 180`”, can lead to far more comprehensive questions in exams… so let’s start laying down the foundations!

LC Physics

Ohh Leaving Cert Physics, students either love you or hate you, but if there’s one thing that helps this relationship, it’s knowing the easy stuff inside and out. Mechanics is considered the easiest in the topic by many, so let’s hit the ground running, and chat about the fundamentals we see around us!
